Things to know about Shortcut import and export
In this article, we’re going to explain some things you need to pay attention to when you're exporting and importing data to Shortcut.
Exporting your data from Shortcut
During the test migration, you get to export 20 tasks to see how it works. Shortcut is a little different in that regard. On Shortcut, each task has a State (Workflow State) which is used to group tasks during the migration.
The Migration Wizard exports tickets from one Workflow State even if there are less than 20 tasks in it. For instance, if the State that was migrated contains 5 tasks then you only get to test 5 tasks.
Another thing that you need to be aware of is that files attached to a task comment migrate in a specific way.

Importing your data to Shortcut
When it comes to importing data to Shortcut, there are only two things you need to know.
First is that you need to create users in Shortcut before you begin the import. Second is that files attached to a task comment will migrate as task attachments on Shortcut.
